Cup Rules and Ray Pink Competition

RULES – KNOCK – OUT COMPETITIONS

  1. The entire control and management of these Competitions shall be vested in the Management Committee and their decision on any matter in connection therewith or any point not provided for shall be final.
  2. The competition shall be played on a knock-out basis from round one during September, October, March, April and May
  3. Extra time of; Under 11 to 16 will be 10 minutes each way. 17 & 18; 15 minutes each way shall be played in all matches if the scores are level at the end of normal time. Girls football all age groups 5 minutes each way shall be played in all matches if the scores are level at the end of normal time.
  4. If no winning team is determined during extra time, the winners will be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the International Board Decision contained in the Laws of Association Football.
  • The Management Committee shall review all abandoned matches and shall be empowered to order the score at the time of the abandonment to stand provided at least; for Under 18 – 80 minutes have been played; for Under 16 & 15 – 70 minutes have been played; for Under 14, 13 – 60 minutes have been played; for Under 12 & 11 – 50 minutes have been played; for Girls Football under 11[12] – 20 minutes have been played; for Under 13[14] – 40 minutes have been played and Under 15:16 & 17 – 50 minutes have been played. If these conditions are not fulfilled the match will be replayed. In all cases where the Management Committee are satisfied that a match was abandoned owing to the conduct of one team or its Club member(s) they shall be empowered to take what other action they may consuder appropriate. In cases where a match is abandoned owing to the conduct of either team(s) or their Club members, the Management Committee shall take such action as they consider appropriate.  Such action to await any disciplinary action taken by the appropriate County Football Association.
  1. In the case of abandoned matches or where postponements have been necessary due to adverse weather, these matches will be staged within 7 days. Where matches have been abandoned or postponed due to adverse weather conditions for two consecutive weeks, the Fixture Secretary shall decide upon a venue for playing the game on the third week.
  2. All teams entered in the league at the time of the cup draw taking place must enter these competitions. Any team receiving a bye will proceed to the next round. Should a team withdraw from the competition after completing a match the result will stand and the opponent for the next round shall receive a bye.

All matches shall be played on dates arranged by the Fixture Secretary.

Member Clubs shall not enter any of their teams playing in the Competition in any other Competitions including Tournaments (with the exception of F.A and County F. A Competitions) except with the written consent of the Management Committee of the Competition.Rule 1A (iv)

  1. In the event of a team failing to keep its engagement in this competition they shall be fined £20 and forfeit the tie to their opponents
  2. Except by permission of the Management Committee all matches must be played on the dates originally fixed but priority shall be given to The Football Association and all relevant County Association Cup Competitions. All other matches must be considered secondary. Clubs may mutually agree to bring forward a match with the consent of the Fixtures Secretary.
  3. (The following Clause applies to players in full-time secondary education):-
  • Priority must be given at all times to school and school organizations activities.
  • The availability of children must be cleared with the Head Teachers (except for Sunday

Competition).

  • Children permitted to play 11 x 11 but who are under the age of fifteen as at the 31st

August in a playing season shall be permittede to play in a match as per Rule 8 (C) of

          League Rule Handbook guidelines.

  • To play in an under 18 bracket competition the player must have achieved the age of

15 on or before 31st August of the playing season.

  • To play in an open age competition a player must have achieved the age of 16.

G    For the purposes of this competition, a bona-fide member of a team shall be:

i    A registered youth playing member of a team.

ii No player shall play for more than one team in any one season in Knock-out Competitions including the Ray Pink Memorial Trophy

iii No player registered after the 1st March shall be eligible to play in the competition

iv Players must have played in two or more matches for their current team in this league in    the current season to be eligible for the semi-finals or final

H Any team playing a player whose date of birth is found to be incorrect or playing an    ineligible or unregistered player or players in these competitions the tie will be awarded to their opponents and the offending team fined £20 for each player ineligible. Additionally any Club fielding a player under an assumed name will incur an additional fine of £25, and the offending player’s registration may be cancelled at the discretion of the Diciplinary Sub-Committee

  • Match fees including expenses will be for Referee 11-12 age groups £9 per team; 13- 14 age groups £10 per team; 15- 16 age groups £11 per team; 18 age groups £13 per team; Girls Football 11 -14 age groups £7 per team and 15 -17 £8 per team.  and Assistant Referee half referee fee per team.
  • Semi – Final and Final matches the Referee Appointment Secretary will appoint Official Referees and wherever possible Assistant Referees.
  • Finals Referee and Assistant Referees shall receive awards in lieu of match fees & expenses.
  • Semi – Final and Final the home team must provide nets and corner posts and both competing teams two suitable match balls
  • Gate money or collections will be taken at all finals and the money received placed in league funds.
  • All other Rules shall be in accordance with the League Competition

UNDER 11- RAY PINK MEMORIAL TROPHY

To be played between the two teams with the least amount of points at the conclusion of each season. Teams having points deducted under Rule10F “Failing to fulfil a fixture” shall be excluded. Where more than two teams have equal points deciding matches will be played on neutral venues decided by the Fixture Secretary.

Referee and Assistant Referees shall receive awards in lieu of match fees & expenses

No player registered after the 1st March shall be eligible to play in the competition
